WHERE DO I FIND MY CRIMINAL RECORD?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

You can access your record easily on the computer through the Maryland Judiciary Case Search Website found at:<\/span><\/p>\n

OR<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Your criminal record is available from the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS).\u00a0 It costs $38 to have your record retrieved and must be paid with a money order or personal or certified check.\u00a0 Cash is not accepted.<\/em>\u00a0 You must appear in person between 8 a.m. and 3:30 pm at:<\/span><\/p>\n

HOW TO FIND AND EXPUNGE YOUR CRIMINAL RECORDS<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

  1. Go to the Maryland Judiciary Case Search<\/strong> website:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 http:\/\/casesearch.courts.state.md.us\/casesearch\/\/inquiry-index.jsp<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Read the Disclaimer<\/strong> box then check<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \u00a0I have read, understand and agree to the terms, conditions, and limitations noted above<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

      1. Click on “Continue” <\/strong>You will be taken to a record search page.<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. Fill in Search Box – Last Name, First Name, Middle Name<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
      3. Case Type – Choose “All Case Types”<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
      4. Court System – Choose “Both Circuit and District”<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
      5. County – Leave the Default – “All”<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
      6. Filing Date – In this field, put in a large range date to make sure you capture all things.\u00a0 For Instance:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 From:\u00a0 “1\/1\/1990”\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To:\u00a0\u00a0 today’s date<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
      7. Click on “Search”<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
      8. Find your records. Using date of birth<\/strong> is helpful, also checking for correct address if there are multiple records with the same name.<\/span><\/li>\n
      9. Click on the Case Number<\/strong> once you have located your record<\/span><\/li>\n
      10. The court record will open up. You will only be able to open one court record at a time.<\/span><\/li>\n
      11. Make a copy of each court record so that you can review them for expungement eligibility.<\/span><\/li>\n
      12. If you do not have access to a printer. Write down the Case Number<\/strong> for each of your court \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 records.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
