It is administered by the State and pays medical bills with Federal and State funds.<\/p>\n<p>You may apply online at myDHR (<a href=\"https:\/\/mydhrbenefits.dhr.state.md.us\/\">https:\/\/mydhrbenefits.dhr.state.md.us<\/a>) or in person at one of DHS\u2019s 24\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dhs.maryland.gov\/weathering-tough-times\/medical-assistance\/?page_id=805\">local departments of social services<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>MARYLAND CHILDREN&#8217;S HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM (MCHP)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p id=\"mchip\" class=\"_mPS2id-t mPS2id-target mPS2id-target-first mPS2id-target-last\">Maryland Children\u2019s Health Insurance Program (MCHP) uses Federal and State funds to ensure that all Maryland\u2019s children have medical insurance. The program provides full health benefits for children under the age of 19, and pregnant women of any age who meet the income guidelines. MCHP provides care through a variety of Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Children under age 19, who are not eligible for Medicaid<\/li>\n<li>Pregnant women of any age<\/li>\n<li>Whose countable income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level (or up to 300% of the federal poverty level with a premium)<\/li>\n<li>Children of employed parents whose employer does not offer family health insurance (NOTE: Even if you have health insurance, it\u2019s best to apply and let the case manager assigned to your application determine your eligibility)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply,<\/strong>\u00a0complete an application and provide the requested information.
